How to keep your phone safe on a mount
A mount that holds the phone through every bump is the whole point. A few habits keep it that way.
Clip mounts
Check the phone fits the clip width with its case — 105 mm on the chest mount, 50–100 mm on the head mount — and that the silicone pads touch the phone on both sides. Tighten the clip knob after rotating it.
Magnetic mounts
- Use a MagSafe case or the included magnetic ring.
- Clip the lanyard on for sports.
- Keep the magnet surface clean of grit.
Before every ride
Pull gently on the phone to test the hold, check the straps, and start recording before you set off so you aren't touching the phone on the move.
