How to wear a phone chest mount
A chest harness takes a minute to put on and a few seconds to get right. The details make the difference between steady footage and a video of your chin.
Fit
- Wear it over your outer layer.
- Clip the waist buckle, then tighten the side straps.
- Adjust the shoulder straps so the plate sits mid-chest.
Angle
Clip the phone in landscape for most sports and tilt it slightly down. On a bike, lean forward into your riding position before you set the angle — upright and riding positions point the camera very differently.
Safety
Check the clip before rough terrain and keep an eye on the road, not the screen. The 1/4 inch thread also takes an action camera if you prefer one for water sports.
